Meet the Hale’s

Pastor Karlie & Angie Hale

Karlie is a native Clevelander, spending his early years living on both the East and West sides of the city. After graduating High School, Karlie joined the Navy. What he intended to be a four-year tour turned into twenty years of service, and retirement with honors. Before starting One Love Community Church Karlie spent four and half years at Gateway Community Church under the leadership of Alex Ennes, founder of the Gateway Church network. His roles included Pastoral Apprentice, Church Planting Resident, leader of Gateway Community’s men’s ministry, security team, and greeting ministry. In 2016 Gateway Community Church granted Karlie a certificate of license in ministry in recognition of his service to the church and his heart for encouraging others through the word of God. Karlie is naturally a people person and loves making connections wherever he goes. He is an avid football fan and enjoys traveling. You may occasionally find him watching sunsets at Lakewood Park.

Angie was raised in Elyria. She is a Registered Nurse of 30 years with experience in hospice and palliative care and school nursing. Angie is currently a School Nurse with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She was an active member of Gateway Community Church serving in the Greeting Ministry with her husband Karlie in addition to helping with Children's Ministry. Angie was a founding board member of The International Youth Leadership Foundation where she served as the Board Chair for two years. She is passionate about connecting with people and loves reading, gardening, traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is excited about making an impact in the community and introducing others to Jesus Christ.

Karlie and Angie have a blended family that includes 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren. They reside on Cleveland’s west side with their dog Snickers.
